Industries We Serve

IT support for trades and contractors in Eastern Ontario

Your crews are in the field, the office runs on email and one quoting or accounting app, and nobody has time to be the IT department. We keep it all working and protected for a flat monthly cost.

Trades businesses have a particular shape: a small office, a shop, and most of the team out on jobs with a phone and maybe a tablet. Email, calendars, quotes and invoices tie it together, which means the office computer and the mailbox are the business. When either one goes down or gets compromised, the crews keep working but nothing gets billed.

We work with electrical, plumbing and heating, building and other trades across North Dundas, Prescott-Russell and SDG Counties. The setups are similar enough that we know what breaks first and what to protect.

What usually goes wrong

Invoice and email fraud

Attackers who get into a contractor's mailbox watch for large invoices, then send a customer or supplier new banking details. It is one of the most common ways a small business loses real money.

One computer, everything on it

The office PC holds the accounting file, the quotes, the customer list and the photos from every job. Usually nobody has tested the backup.

Phones and tablets in the field

Crews need email, shared calendars and job files on their phones, without giving every device full access to everything.

Shop WiFi that does not reach

Yards, bays and steel buildings eat WiFi. Printers drop off, the shop tablet will not connect, and the camera system stalls.

How we help

Device Shield on every office and shop computer

Round-the-clock monitoring, automatic patching, web filtering and threat protection, flat per device per month. We know a machine is in trouble before you do.

Device Shield

User Shield with Microsoft 365

Business email, shared calendars and files that work the same on the office PC and every crew phone, with mailbox and OneDrive backup and identity protection so a stolen password does not become a stolen mailbox.

User Shield plans

Email Shield and password management

Extra filtering against the fake-invoice and fake-supplier emails that target trades, and a shared password manager so the office and the crews stop reusing one password everywhere.

Add-ons

Shop, yard and bay WiFi

UniFi and Omada networks designed for steel buildings and outdoor space, installed and managed afterward so they stay updated.

Questions from trades and contractors

Do we need a server?+

Almost never. Most trades businesses run well on Microsoft 365 with files in OneDrive or SharePoint and the accounting package either cloud-hosted or on one protected PC with a tested backup. We will tell you if your software genuinely needs more.

Can you support the phones our crews use?+

Yes. User Shield plans cover Microsoft 365 on phones and tablets, and the Mobile tier is built for field staff who mainly need email, calendar and files. Device Shield covers Windows PCs and Macs.

What does it cost for a small crew?+

Device Shield is a flat monthly price per computer and User Shield is a flat price per person, so a shop with two office computers and five people on email is easy to estimate. Use the estimate builder for your numbers.
