Required base service, one per site
Network Shield Gateway
Firewall policy and configuration management, firmware and security updates, VPN and remote access, monitoring and alerting, and remote support of the network edge. Configuration is backed up and documented. Management costs the same on every platform; the WatchGuard option adds the appliance and its security subscription.

The appliance remains part of the service and is returned if the service ends. Cancelling before the 12-month term is up is subject to the early termination fee in our Terms of Service.
Add-on: UniFi CyberSecure $20/month per gateway
Enhanced intrusion detection and prevention signatures and threat blocking for UniFi gateways. Optional on the UniFi option; not available for Omada.

Installation is quoted at the subscriber rate of $105/hour. Hardware for client-owned options is quoted separately.

Wireless, switching, and monitoring
Wireless and Switch attach to a site with the Gateway service. Monitor stands on its own for sites that keep managing their own gear.

Grafana and Alloy watch every managed connection and device. Alerts open a ticket with our team automatically.

Work that is not included is billed at the standard hourly rate. Network Shield subscribers receive the subscriber rate of $105/hour.

Clients with Device Shield on their computers get 10% off every Network Shield line, applied automatically.
Gateway service is required before Wireless or Switch services can be added; Monitor stands on its own. Additional access points and switches can be added at any time. Every Network Shield service is a 12-month term, then month to month with 30 days' notice. Pricing is reviewed annually. All prices in CAD, plus HST.

Management is $45/month on every platform. The WatchGuard option adds $40/month for the Firebox appliance itself and its Basic Security Suite subscription: intrusion prevention, gateway antivirus, WebBlocker content filtering, application control, spamBlocker, reputation-based blocking, SD-WAN and VPN. On the UniFi or Omada option you own the hardware and there is no vendor security subscription unless you add UniFi CyberSecure.
On the UniFi or Omada option, you do. We quote the hardware, you buy it, and it stays with you if the service ends. On the WatchGuard option the Firebox is supplied as part of the service, replaced at end of life at no additional cost, and returned if the service ends.
No. Wireless and Switch services need the Gateway service on the same site, because the gateway is where policy, VLANs, and monitoring come together. Network Shield Monitor is the exception: it watches your internet connection on its own and does not need the gateway.
We coordinate the manufacturer warranty claim for you. Swapping the unit on site is billed at the subscriber hourly rate; if you keep a spare, the swap is usually quick.
Every Network Shield service is a 12-month term, then month to month with 30 days' notice, the same as our other plans. On the WatchGuard gateway the Firebox is returned if the service ends.
It watches your internet connection from our monitoring platform, alerts our team when it drops or degrades, and we deal with the ISP on your behalf. It does not manage or configure any equipment.
